Bryan & Mary **** MARRIED***

Looking at Mary in these images, and let me tell you I have many more of her, I can't help but think...."I could have shot her ALL day!!" She was more than radiant, she *SHINED* (hence the song). Bryan looked amazing as well. I could bet that even if he tried he couldn't stop smiling...a true sign of being completely happy!! SSSSHHHH.....It WAS a Secret!!!

That is I went to The Secret Workshop this past weekend and had a blast. Not only was Cheryl Muhr wild and crazy, but with over 30 models to shoot and having the studio instruction given by THE ONE AND ONLY Brianna Graham...well, life was practically wonderful! Guest Sign-In Book for my wedding couples

I wanted to have pics of my Guest Sign-in books and being a bit of a goof-ball I took my son's Flip video player and I made a little movie on it. I LOVE this book, it is elegant and useful all in one. The linen pages are thick and writting messages on them are easy! My brides love these and they pretty much get most of the images we take for their engagement session too!! Enjoy!

Happy Couple + Harleys = GREAT PICS

This was just a blast...walking downtown expecting to have the place to ourselves since it was 9am Sunday morning but NOPE!! It was Harley Fest!! Yep..the loud roaring, black leather and metal mix of people. Actually it was a group called HMT (Harley Ministry of Truth) gathering and I totally didn't know. Well, the bride-to-be is amazing as well as her fiance and they LOVED it! She joked that she was thinking of having her ride up to the church on one. Well----we had beautiful weather, saw and met wonderful people, took a tour of a new loft apartment in the alley (thanks Jon and Mr. Hoffman) and well, just another day of shooting in my book.

Mayo Mayhem

This past weekend....

Ryan and Corena were married. Not only was she incredibly beautiful but he was just as handsome. I wanted to load just a few that I looked at .... the flowergirl had amazing eyes and the ringbearer was adorable!

Baby....oh Baby!!

This lil' guy is such a cutie not too mention he is a lil brother to a red-headed beauty! Squishy, soft, sleepy...oh, I love sleepy and that is the rationale behind shooting newborns the first week of life; this is a very sleepy time for them. It allows alot of manipulating and posing without the crying. I LOVE newborns...I have three kids of my own and still every now and then I think wouldn't it be great to have another little one; but after a session and I get my fill of the smell and softness of the newborns and the {crying} I think to myself "Three is enough"!

Textures & Swirls & Bellies....OH MY!!!

Obviously the first is without the added texture and the second has the texture. This is just a fun effect that is very hip and upcoming in the world of photoshopping and photography. It is used alot with Senior sessions...but hey...someday this lil one in the oven will be a senior. We just start them out younger these days!

and I am finally a Tunta!!!!! I had a great opportunity to wisk out to Washington to meet my lil nephew and spend a few days with him. I was even given the best honor of being his first babysitter. He is just as sweet, soft, 'baby' smellin....and really just an amazing baby. He is really good at eating and pooping. Now...here he is...Ean Scott Viik

Aren't you too needing a bit of a warm up here (those of you that are from another state...and esp those that live in warmer states you are exempt to answer!!)? BUT---through it all Corena and Ryan were complete troopers not to mention no whining at all about the weather...and look at how sexy she looks...'between the teeth chattering'. They are the first wedding of mine this year and I look forward to starting the season with a BANG!!

And he is just as cute as can be....and what a handsome lil guy too!! He is just growing leaps and bounds and I have to say that his mom has her work cut out for her...he is one ACTIVE boy. I LOVED IT!!! Now....when he is up and walking that is when the REAL fun is....I really will perfect my run and shoot method! Here is few images to peek at....

Fenton 2008 EXPO

This year I joined the Fenton Area Chamber of Commerce and with that I decided to be in their expo. Alot of business's were there and alot of people came through. I talked with many, many area people of all ages...young and old and even some lil babies! I gave out special bags with fortune cookies in them that held VERY special discounts and most everyone couldn't love more the booth that my husband made for me (I couldn't agree more with that as well!!!) Here is some pics of the booth and the lovely pictures I had so proudly displayed! Maybe some of my clients will see some of their images up.....if you want to come take a better look-see of these images come to my office...I am proudly displaying them here as well until the new studio is up.

SORRY......yes I am a slacker!

It has come to my attention to MANY that I am a major slacker on this blog. I COULD sit here and type that I will have a New Years Resolution to post more on this blog but for fear of failure (which may be why I take on things I know I can conquer) I will NOT claim to do this. What I can do is to do BETTER!! More info, more picture posting and more specials. Here at Creative Studios Photography I feel that this year will be a HUGE year!! I will be doing more weddings, more limited mini sessions...and hopefully at the end of this summer I can spill the BIGGEST news of all (that is all I can say for now!). So to end this I am posting a few pics of my Megan. I will explain where and how these came about in a later post..... I like to be a tease!!

Saving the Best for Last.....

Well...weather had a part in that but this is my last Senior session this year and boy was it cold. But look how well this lovely lady looks in it! She looks like a little scandanavian beauty!! Her mom came with us and not only was this a wonderful shoot, but seeing how well their relationship between eachother was a joy. Here is your sneek-peek "N"....ENJOY!

One Brave Girl....

Not only was "A" a ton of smiles and just as sweet as can be; but the day was pretty gloomy, threatening rain, and all the while she was just having fun!! Walking downtown Fenton you never know what will happen or where we can get what shot...I love the sporatic, think-on-your-toes type of photography. But what I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the most is when my clients have faith in me. They let me have creative control and just let me have my way with them...so to speak!!! This was MY complete pleasure hanging and shooting with ya "A"...here is your sneek-peek!

Family Sessions....always makes me want more!!!

I met this husband and wife through a friend..well at wedding shin-dig...and she was really interested in getting together for a family shoot. I was so pleased to accomodate...and boy did we hit the JACKPOT!!! The kids were so WONDERFUL and WELL BEHAVED....(yes mom....very WELL behaved!!!) and not to mention is this not just the best looking family!!! WOW!!! Kensington Park was not a disappointment in scenery BUT we were hoping for more leave changing happening!!! Next time I will put my order in a little sooner! Hope you like your sneek-peek!!!

This one is dedicated to you "CRASH"!!!!!!!!!!

*****UPDATE**** He had surgery on his knee cap and ligament and good news is (hopefully) he will be on the slopes this winter riding the rail on his snowboard!!! I am SOOOO happy to hear you are doing as well as can be expected!!! WOW----what a night. Weather was precarious...but we trudged on!! Truck out of commission...but "R" definately made up with it with all his other toys (Beauteeus car, racing bike, snowboard----get the picture people this kid is made for SPEED!!) He was COOL...CALM...made eyes at his mom to make sure what was happening was okay for her (LOVE a senior who cares what his mom thinks!!!!) And then after the obligatory shots we were off to the race track.....LITERALLY!!!! He has one in his back yard...remember RACE BIKE------MADE FOR SPEED!!! So...all set up and one jump was not giving us the air we love to see when one jumps on a super duper powerful bike........SSSSOOOOOOOO He has this other jump...kinda hasn't jumped it alot.....kinda a dangerous jump because he needs to get enough air to make it to the next MOUND of dirt or it is "Crash & Burn" time. He does some dry runs; (you guys KNOW what I am leading up to dont you!!!) He finally is 'feeling' the NEED FOR SPEED & AIR....and BAM!!! Hits the jump and WAM face hits the handle bar and knees crash into it to...and he basically whips out big time right in front of the photographer. Okay...now most kids would be freaking, and basically crying their eyes out. Well, I found this is no ordinary kid...he wants his cell phone to: 1-take pic of battle wounds (his knee has major bone veiwing) 2-call his buddy to tell him about his BIG crash WELL---after loading him in his dad's truck they took him to the hospital and I have yet to find how he is doing........ BUT---I can show you some befores!!!!

Some don't know me but well I am a bit on the short and stocky side....where as this next senior is quite the opposite of me....definately a bit taller then me. However, I found him quite charming and needless to say impressed the socks off me....hey, I was wearing my Tevas ..no socks!! Well, we went to my house for some headshots and 'I play in the weeds everyday' shots..then to his house and took some uber cool shots of his way cool family heirloom....and then off to the new Fenton Stadium in all its glory!!! When we arrived there was a few people just laying out and playing on the new field and walking the track...that is where I say "Y" shine..this older couple was walking off the track and struck up a conversation with us and you should have heard how wonderful he was talking with them..joking and just plain...UUUGGG ...mom you are raising this kid up VERY well!!! So...any hoo...here is your sneek peek...posing a bit more for this sneek peek than usual due to earning the extra 'kudo' points with me on just how nice you are!!!

MACKINAC ISLAND-----Great place to get married!!!

My long-time friend got married!!! We are so happy when she met her husband, he was just such a great fit for her and when, after a VERY long time, they made it permanent I was honored to document it. They had an intimate ceremony up at Mackinac Island at The Inn at StoneCliff; which by the way was SPECTACULAR!!! Then that weekend her parents hosted their reception at their house and the party was in total a three day affair (from the date they were married to their reception NOT the reception itself!!). OKAY---now to a few wedding pics from the island....just having to state that this girl is WILD, FUNNY, and just plain AWESOME!!! A photographers dream and ALWAYS up for anything...... Sorry that I have been lack with my blogs of late.....I can't wait to blog what pictures I took this past week... But I can hardly wait to post the pictures I took last week as well... So, without further Ado (who originally said 'Ado'...and did I spell it right?) here is a Super Family living just north of me who was HAPPILY surprised the weekend by their two lovely daughters (who are very successful professional working out of state...so all you guys thinking of dating one of these lovelees..well TOUGH LUCK!!) Not only did the girls surprise their folks but added on some much needed family portraiture time as well. I have been fortunate enough to have shot with two fabulous photographers over this past several months and it really is wonderful to see the ins & outs of wedding photography through very talented photographers. I will be posting a bit backwards and post the most recent wedding I second shot with Nicole Ladonne from Ann Arbor. This was a couple just too cute for words and this bride was ORG-A-NIZED!!! She was truely a princess and who wouldn't be with a younger sister who owned a bridal boutique in Milford...not to mention a older sister who is very sucessful photographer in New York. She was married and had their reception at Waldenwoods, Hartland and the place couldn't have been more beautiful......OH...it was more beautiful with the bride and her bridesmaids riding in horse-drawn carriage!!! Beautiful Couple + Beautiful Mountains = Unbelievalbe Weddin

It was magical, wonderful, and just amazing! My brother found the missing piece of his LIFE puzzle when he met Laura. They became friends and then feel in love. True love was tested when my brother was in a VERY serious accident and could have easily been left paralyzed and even could have died. Laura stayed by his side, nursed him back to health and they kept falling in love with eachother. They chose to be married in beautiful Sedona, AZ. They then set the date of May 13th, Mothers Day. They also chose to have a few special touches as my dad was my brothers best man as well as my other brother, Erik, married them!!!! He is not a minister but found out, via the internet, how to become certified to marry. I must add that his service was extra-ordinary and most memorable! Here is a sneek peek for those that have been anxiously waiting.....hint, hint Laura!!!

He decided to christen each room with a little tinkle and some small poo poo....which was completely hillarious....not to mention he is showing signs of extreme healthliness!!!!

His mom and dad are quite the lookers and their new home was a photographers heaven. I really could have shot there the whole day and come up with new and unique backgrounds!

It was sooo much fun shooting this family that I even waited for them to retrieve the Lab from his parents place.......DOG + BABY + WOODEN DUCKS = MEMORIABLE PICTURE!!!

My Birthday, the present from my middle child, & the chair

My birthday was this past Thursday and my middle child gave me a big birthday present!! She dressed so cute, and we tromped out into the back yard right before the sun set and snapped away! I LOVE this chair and really cannot wait to use it on my sessions this year! Little ones in tutus and smocks, boys sitting all handsome-like, seniors relaxing with legs tossed across the arms, newly engaged couples sitting together. This is my portrait wall display that I bought for *ME*. It showcases my most precious pieces....my children. Well, they are not pieces but they are truely precious. I love these images of them...the pictures truely show their curiosity, whimsy and zest for a fun and happy life. My plan in life is to give this to them!!! Capturing images like these, the ones that are close and you can truely look deep into their mind and souls through the pictures, are so important!! HOLGA VISION

My new Holga camera. It is a plastic 'toy'camera that has been around for a couple decades and continues to inspire photos that have a intense feeling to them. Naturally vignetted, a bit grainy and alot of MOOD! It uses medium format film. The camera uses NO batteries, you need to advance the film via hand turning, There is ONE fixed lens and is kinda plasicky (is that a word????). It really is fun to use and I have scanned in some examples of pictures that my kids and I took! If you want an eclectic feeling, moody, and very, VERY affordable, this is the camera for you!!!

Or I think she has it. You know how they put those contendants through the most impossible situations saying..."Well, just when you are on a photo shoot doesn't mean you will do it comfortably!!" Like when they had those poor girls in the pool that was 58 degrees (I am not sure exactly on the temperature but lets just say PRETTY D%^& COLD!!!) And then they are to look all exotic and ethernal, plus one girl goes into a hypothermic shock??? Like, turn up the heat for a day....you know your shooting there...GIVE ME A BREAK!!! {Off my soapbox} ON THE OTHER HAND..... My cousin and I went out in about 28 degree weather to do a shoot for her upcoming road trip to L.A. and dancing in Carnival Week....a place where all the biggies get thier dance entourage!!! We wanted something fresh and new and well, not on the beach in a bathing suit cuz..like...that has been done....ALOT! So feast your eyes what we came up with. Granted we tried to keep her covered as best as possible we it was just the two of us and ...well....I think it was WELL worth putting up with a bit of cold for these. What do you think?????

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and holiday and now that the New Year is really upon us it is back to the old grind and to making new beginnings and new memories to try to hold onto and cherish. As I am sure all of you have reflected on your past year and I have heard MANY exclaim that "WOW, how fast this past year has went", it really reminds me how fortunate I am in doing what I do!!! I help preserve those fleeting moments, those times and interactions that happen between you and your loved ones, in beautiful and purely natural photos that can be looked on for a lifetime and remembered just a bit more vividly! As this is a new year some price changes will be happening. With that said I will honor last years print price structure on sessions that are paid for and booked within the next 2 weeks. The deadline to do this is January 19th (okay I am giving 2 in a half weeks). After that time the 2007 Prices on my Collections and Prints will be in effect. I will within this week be posting the new prices on my website......don't panick when you view this just know that the above deadline is firm! I have been honored by my brother and future sister in law to photograph their destination wedding in May......this could be a new photographic avenue for me and I will keep options open to possibly shooting weddings on how well and how comfortable this wedding comes around. One snow day is better than none?!?!?!

I had my FREE snow session this past weekend....we had NO snow on Sat....but really, really cold! The "W" family was just wonderful and really troopers to brave the cold without snow! Little Miss "J" was so cute with her little words of "No", "UGG" and the best "KEWL"!! The next day, well.....snow came on down..YEA!!! Miss "E" was just so cute....and the expressions were priceless!!! Just a little Gerber baby! And it wasn't all kids.....it is also this lovely couple. Fun and really the picture perfect couple. Just look how well they compliment eachother....really fresh and the camera LOVED them. Oh, and they camera loved their baby as well....all four legs of him!! Oh, forgot about my mini-mini shoot....Family "K" was unable to come out on Sunday due to the case of the major sniffles!!! But I did get a great shot of the oldest....especially due to she tries with all her might to avoid the camera. THANK YOU EVERYONE....for making this a great weekend. We had Thanksgiving celebrations, that lasted three day it seems!!! Thankful for so many things; *Family *Health *Love *Friends Really.....the basics are the most treasured. But the 4 above are true treasures, items that sometimes you have no control over and that people yearn and earn to keep every minute of everyday. Little "G" had the deepest eyes I think I have ever seen, and for sure the deepest I have ever photographed. And look how they draw you in....to look really deep, really long, almost mezmorizing. 4 month olds are unpredictable. Everything that we could do we did to get her in a giggly, smiley mood......but honestly these pics of her just looking are really precious. You can tell she is a thinker, could even grow to be very artistic. Even with the cold weather and ZERO light (if clouds could be any thicker or greyer we would have been in darkness), the images only reflect the brightness of their love for eachother and their most precious daughter. Revitalization & Renewal

I love photography....I love the way taking images of people and how the pictures evoke some feeling from *ME*. But, times are hectic and when I go to take pictures of my family and events seem a bit hurried to me. To end this I decided, while I should have been dusting and shining upstairs, to take my little ones and "find the light" in my house. I opened a ton of windows (again looking at the windows thinking "Oye Vey, these desperately need a shine") and asked all three to be goofy and wear some new hats I bought on my weekend away with the girls. They were completely cooperative, and with some musical help and jammin' to Megan's CD, we had sooo much fun. They are my life, my loves, and my MUSES!!!

Picture of the moon....and let me tell you it took more than one take. Really this is about the fourth time trying to take a picture of 'the man in the moon'. Also, a landscape pic of the sun setting at the tree lines across of the pond in our back yard. Autumn, my favorite time of the year!!!

It is amazing to see just how great you are with little "S" and how much love and joy that each of you share with one another. Not only within your immediate family but with your extended one! This time "S's" Aunt was there to join in the fun of picture day......and boy did this little girl love her Auntie!!(thanks for helping me get the little one's attention!) Our annual Girls Weekend was a success. Lots of laughs.. Lots of shopping... Lots of sharing... Lots of ..people looking at our chest and wondering???Who is Rick Lachey???? Enough said....shhhhhhh!

Learning via Hands-On....it doesn't hurt that the teacher is one of the best in her field!!

I had the greatest opportunity to get into Audrey Woulard's Be Inspired photography workshop a few weeks ago and being that it was my first workshop I can say for sure that any other workshop I may attend in the future will have a VERY HIGH bar of excellance to achieve to come close to hers. Not only is she completely down to earth and very approachable but she is the friend, the sister-in-law, the sister, the mother all could only hope to have in their life. It is refreshing to see that the work and the efforts of her eye and work pays off with photos that reflect art!! BUT, also shows the most essential part of people, their human side! People reflect who they are through their eyes and Audrey GETS THAT!! Now, taking much of what is learned over the weekend, I am striving to attain that vision as well. Taking pictures of you and your loved ones are my passion....making the images art and most meaningful is my mission!!

Fall is the time of colors and FUN!!!

I had the honor of photographing a friend of my son's and just a great brother duo. You can tell how much they care and respect eachother and how just much they LOVE eachother too!! Don't get me wrong, I am sure that they battle over playing GameStation or getting into eachothers stuff, all normal sibling squabbles; however the care and concern and really just love you see these two have for eachother just would melt your heart! Easy, schmeezie photo shoot...just look how handsome and extremely cute these two are! Thanks "B" Family..pure joy and maybe next time we can play in the snow???

Wet, rainy, may have to cancel the photo shoot.....but when to reschedule with everyones schedule is packed to the hilt!!! So, being great troopers we were off on an adventure and found the cutest place in AA that had a pavilion; dated built in 1914, with a wonderful bridge and a river running through it. No Brad Pitt around but there was this great looking family I was able to photograph. Not only are they all good looking, and very coordinated, but also sweet. After the shoot I saw them at Wendy's (I swear I wasn't following them!!!!) and they were so kind to even buy my son and I our dinner. YUM! Thanks W. Family. Here is a small preview.....

First Day of School....ALL 3!!!

I wanted to post, mainly for my family who stalks me here, the line up the morning of the first day of school!!! I didn't cry the first day of school for my first born, or even for my second born; but for the third I did??? She loaded on the bus and away she went....I turned to my mom and sobbed!! What gets me is she is the one I am NOT worried about!! I was worried for my other two on if they would make friends, will they keep up with the work, will they speak up if they do not understand....but for "H" I haven't any of those worries! Now that we are a few weeks into school it is easier and yes even pleasant not to have anybody at home for a while. I HAVE been still needing to run around for appointments and such, but I think the month of October I may have a bit of time to sit back, without anyone around, without having to go here and there and pick up so and so at this time.....for about a 4 hour period!!! What is a girl to do??

Why, Oh Why......so much beauty in one girl!!!

Not to mention super sweet and what a great mom. You can tell alot of love and care and just genuine LOVE from the two of them. Such a great time too.....since having a photographer in her family, she is REALLY comfortable in front of the camera. HI "D"!!! Here is a sample of much more to come!

U of M Soccer ----"Maize & Blue" to me and You!!!

Went to the big house....well next to the big house to the mens soccer field in Ann Arbor for a Sunday game of 'footie' with some college boys. They played a team called Coastal Carolina and well, they lost. But the rain held off, and still my son was in heaven!!! I looked at him and said, "How do you like this" and he replied..."I REALLY want to be playing instead of watching". I said, "This is a good goal to work for!!" I was a bit bummed because a forgot my monopod, the stick that holds my big mama lens, so I had to be pretty immobile in the stands. This stiffins my creativity and also makes me miss a ton of great shots!!! Here are a few though....

Erik and Mere for a visit

My youngest brother braved an airline flight, through rum and tranquilizers, to come home for a few days and go to one of his best friends wedding reception in town here. Being away from him has been tough, but with my hectic life, ,makes the distance bearable at times. BUT, with him home with his mate, Mere; well saying bye to them is getting harder and harder! Jeez, will we ever live close enough to drive in a day to see eachother??? One will never know, but at their visit I had the pleasure of taking their picture together....one thing for me to truely hold on to when they are so far. This, and many other times, solidify my rationalization to become a photographer as my profession. To take images of loved ones, that will forever be looked at, so that their faces never fade from my memory, is why taking photographs mean so much to me!!! I Love You Erik and Mere!!!

The girl next door.....

LITERALLY!!! My neighbor is a sweet senior and she is also one of my reps for this year at her school. Lovely, talented, totally comfortable in front of my camera...and brains ta boot!! Watch out world, she is right around the corner to take over!! We had a blast taking these....actually I didn't want to stop??? Soooo many ideas, only so much sun light in a day. After all the pics taken they were kind enough (her and her mom) to take me to one of my fav spots for a bite to eat. I couldn't end an evening better, well at least I am ending it now at 1:45am after I post just a smiget of my favs!!! Here you go J.

Can it be.....my girlfriend is mother to a senior???

This young lady is just that...young, beautiful...full of fun, life, and just being a teenager. Those years are years me and her mom have lived only 20 years ago....together!! Time travels, at the speed of light! Here she was, in my eye piece of my camera looking just spectacular. Not sure what to do at first....but at the end of the session she was truely acting like a model veteran! Sorry S. that this is a bit late....I am having WAY too hard of a time choosing from the amount of good pics to post. This is my largest picture post so far. I was blessed to shoot this lovely little peach!!! 9 months old is so cute, sometimes they are a bit apprehensive because they are becoming increasingly aware of their surroundings and at times it is a bit frightning. This little girl was never frightened, maybe a bit curious about the wacky photographer. Look closely at the last shot.......even her parents are a bit WACKY!!!

Our Vacation was a "HEAT" bust...but the water was nice!

Here are a few pics from our mini vacation to Kelleys Island...that turned to a micro-vaction of 2 days and one night, due to the intense and gruelling heat wave. Now we are off to the races...literally!!! The Brickyard Races at Indianapolis. See you later!!!

Went out early this A.M. to do a small photoshoot of my talented nephews and my BIL. The oldest tours on a Jr. Golf League, while I am sure the other will follow in his footsteps. We drove out to the golf course that they are members and it was purely picturesque. Here are a few, and I know that the boys will see so all the sandtrap shots ROCK!!!

The Barn from my childhood

I was fortunate to grow up in the country. In doing so, I had to endure a one hour trip to and from my school and most of the days just gazing out the window. Around the bend, down the road from my elementary school I use to attend was an old farm house with barn and land. Today I stopped and talked to the owner, who 2 years ago bought this property and restored it to its full glory and majesty. To look at it makes you yearn to drink lemonade and swing from a hammock....REALLY!!!! Here are just a few pictures...of what I am sure will be many because she gave me permission to stop and shoot anytime and I can't wait to do this in all type of lighting! Thank You O'..... Family!

Rain, Rain, Go Away.....

and it did!!!! Just in time to get some pictures of these most vivacious, and most incredibly beautiful girls. Not only was it sprinkling from time to time, but actually was perfect for lighting!!! Not too many squinty eyes due to all the cloud cover. It really is a photographers best weather! Not to mention the backdrop was their beautiful landscaped and wonderfully manicured lawn, and just simply a gorgeous home. Lots of warmth...added with tons of LOVE! Happy Brithday Hanna!!!

My youngest turned the BIG 5 this past weekend and she was such a hoot!!! It really has been her birthday "tomorrow" for about a year and with the day actually here she still claims it is "tomorrow". Some days I feel she needs to sing a "Orphan Annie" song!!! But as luck would have it her actual birthday begun to sink in and she took the birthday weekend for a ride!!! Princess was the theme and even with a bat in her hand she would tackle any job to get at the candy. Her Aunt Paula had some beauty tips and shared a big kiss with us all!!! My little one is "5"... time does fly!!

My "Happy 4th of July" Day

We went to our home town and enjoyed the most beautiful parade along with some fabulous weather!!! If those of you have never experienced a 'country hometown parade' well....you are REALLY missing out!!! If you ever get a chance to go to a hometown event take it!!! You will feel, "Beaver Cleaverish" in no time!

Look for the light....that is what any photographer will say is the key to capturing a great picture. Who knew I had so much 'great light' under my deck. Before with the pictures of the twins we had super light and here again with my girls. They were making rock babies! Drawing on rocks with chaulk and giving them names like "yoo hoo" and "Lisa"?????

The Nygaard Clan!

This was a really special day for George & Mary Jane. Their children, one who is my best friend Lori, surprised them with a weekend with the whole family up north on Houghton Lake for their 40th Wedding Anniversary. You might think "Why would they want to spend a anniverary with thier kids and grandchildren???" Answer: THEY ARE ALL ABOUT FAMILY!!! Lori lives in San Fransicso and to have everyone together will be a special time for all but especially for George and Mary Jane. Thank you Nygaard Family for letting me be a small part in your special day.

"I will make a habitat for him to be comfortable", Aron said. And that he did, all the comforts of home for a frog...water, wood, greenery and a shoe horn....!!

The Twins

These are my cousins friends....well I feel like my friends now too. Have you ever met young men that completely melt your heart. They are so talented (they sing together and even made the 25 finalist on American Idol this past Idol show), and plus so sweet! I told them I would love to take their picture and I am soooo honored to have gotten the opportunity. These are just a few....so many more to go through.

My IKEA red chair

YEAH!!! IKEA is here! I visited IKEA for the first time in Washington when I was out visiting my brother about 9 years ago. I only could buy items that I could lug on the plane and at times I missed out on the coolest items. Now it is here, about an hour away from me!!! I had to wait for the second day to visit the store (the opening day I had to go on a fieldtrip with my dd). I bought 5 bags of *stuff* Here is a $14.99 red chair purchase I bought to use as a prop with my kidlets! I hurried to but it together and have both of my dd to post for me! Light was quickly fading, but the posibilities of this item in endless!

Dancing requires athletics!!

I went to my cousins dance competition today and again it just reconfirmed me that dancing is really athletic as well as beautiful!! She has been dancing for a long time and really excels at Hip Hop! Well, it really is just amazing to see how she can make her body move and make it look all tooooo easy (yea right..) and just funky (sorry if that is an outdated verb!?!?). Pictures in Motion!!!

Can you take a picture in motion. I have to...almost everyday with every picture. Being a mom of 3 busy children all under the age of 9, and all very healthy, active children, well, to get a picture of them in their own environment that is half-way focused is a victory for me. For the massive amounts of photos one could try to take of their kid on a swing, or running after another child, or in any active sport, well you may get 3 that are in focus and only maybe one that the face isn't all contorted out of proportion to the joy of the actual event. With that said I challenge you to take pictures of your active someone and get 'THAT' shot. The one that captures the shear joy in enjoying their action. Keeping that joyful motion in a stagnet reminder of the beauty and fun of childhood.....get that picture.

I want to try to add everyday....lets see how long of a stretch I can go??? (okay maybe not on the weekends or vacation days!!!) oh (or days that I sleep in, or days I am in the pool....) .
